We saw solo and small teams running into technical and performance issues. They were priced out of the existing offerings from co-development and support studios because they cost thousands of dollars. This was leaving them with a poor set of options; either
a) invest a lot of time to become performance and rendering experts on top of everything else on their plate,
b) accept the negative impact poor performance will have on their game, or
c) find a stack of money from somewhere to pay a support studio to deal with the problem.
We thought there had to be a better way.
You shouldn’t need to become an expert, or have a huge budget to pay someone else to make the problem go away.
When outsourcing, reworking and fixing the issues is often the most time consuming, and thus costly part of the work.
Understanding the game’s issues, the root cause of the problems, and what needs to be done to address them, is actually what requires the expertise.
Our idea is simple: be targeted. We do the identifying and prioritising of issues, and get you what you need to work through implementing the solutions yourselves.
With over a decade in game development and education, we can provide expert guidance and support you need.
Starting out with background in custom C++ game engines, to extensive experience in common engines like Unity. Our experience in using 3rd party tools to debug and locate performance issues across multiple platforms can be put to work for you.
We’ll be able to help you understand the issues ahead of you, and facilitate you and your team to correct the issues and prevent them from re-occurring.
Indies, or teams without dedicated performance minded programmers. You are willing to put the work in to fix things, you just don't know what you need to do.
Please still reach out. We want all indie games to be high quality, smooth experiences. It is our mission to help raise the bar for indie games. Having games being loved and talked about for the actual game not their performance issues. We have some alternative payment options we would be happy to discuss.
If you were to pay a support studio to fix the issue for you, you would be paying multiple people for many months of work...these costs really add up. You would only be paying us for the time it takes to diagnose your performance issues...the time cost to fix the issues would already be part of your budget because you will be doing it.
Can be as low as a couple of hundred $USD. It'll depend on how long it takes to completely go through your game, and how many issues you need assistance with.
